AJ & Emmie’s Big Day

How We Met

After exchanging a few messages on Facebook and discovering they had some friends in common, AJ & Emma met on October 7th, 2017.

Meeting for dinner at Public House, a bar on State Street in Chicago’s River North neighborhood, they were both nervous and a little unsure of how things might go. Early on, Emma was disappointed to discover AJ was NOT a fan of pumpkin flavored foods! Despite that minor hiccup, they shared a bit about themselves and their interest and (of course) political affiliations, they quickly realized they shared many of the same fundamental values.

After dinner, they ventured over to Dylan’s Candy Bar, where they learned of their mutual love for sweets. As they would discover later, both were foodies and would bond over their shared appreciation for incredible food adventures, travel, dogs, superhero movies, and most importantly, house music.

As they say, the rest is history… Who says you can’t find love on Facebook? Thanks Mark Zuckerberg!
